I search for inspiration to write, for I want to tell my stories too. I currently draw inspiration from an ex colleagues blog. She, a copy writer by profession has a simple and effortless way of writing. Each time i visit her pages i leave spell bound, her blog "everyday musing", takes you through her life, her inspiration, the simplicity of life and the small things that matter, which we miss otherwise. I leave her blog with a new sense of feeling each time.
More often than not people label me as talkative . I can talk to just about anyone, about just about anything. There however is no such thing about small writing like in the case of small-talk. Recently i wanted to write to a friend of mine who had gone out of the country. It was just a hi - hello kind of mail, i however took nearly and hour to just come up with 5 lines. Writes block, or plain stupidity you decide.
Whilst my stint at Infosys a part of my job was writing, yes!!! can you imagine that i was paid to write. But Business jargon is way easier. You just need to throw in words some buzz worthy words like collaboration, realizing business value, one stop solution, change management , domain expertise etc and viola you have a super cool whitepaper at your finger tips. But writing about your memories, is a lot more complicated- just like rocket science
Wiki describes the writers block as essentially a creative problem that originates within an author's work. A writer may run out of inspiration ( just like me). The writer may be greatly distracted ( again like me )or beyond the author's experience or ability( sheepishly grin - like me again). I dont know if one would consider me as creative, but i take pleasure in most things coined creative be at arts, dance, craft, etc. So why not writing?
Today I write for myself, not to an audience, As of now i just have 1 follower "V ". I write to tell my story my day to day musings, the memories i cherish in my heart and hope one day that I inspire some soul to write, just as i have been inspired. As of this moment , I dare not share my blog link with anyone else for fear they commit virtual suicide.
Again drawing inspiration from my blog hero, i resolve to update my blog more often- let me start with atleast once a week. I guess thats a fair enough deadline to begin with. I should be writing atleast 500 words of bull crap, or whatever one may call it.
If you chance upon this blog do feel free to comment, Your feedback would be a receipt to my writing. Your appreciation my certificate and yes i hope to some day be a source of inspiration to someone someday. Joan Didion easily summarises my thoughts,to quote her she says: " I write entirely to find out what I'm Thinking. what I'm looking at. What I see and what it means. What i Want and what I fear."
XOXO
Awaiting for an update :)
